Edge Performance should sue Rotax for stealing Edge's ideas and incorporating them into their copycat Rotax 915 & 916 model engines. Rotax should go back to producing their dink 912 80 HP engines that nobody wants. 912 = 80 HP 916 = 160 HP Virtually the same engine. This has Boeing 737 Max written all over it.

The Shark is an ultralight aircraft that is NOT allowed to fly aerobatics, do sharp drops and corkscrews. Maximum turns are up to 60 degree bank and climbs and descents up to +/- 30 degrees etc etc. How is it possible that you are flying this type of aerobatics when the manufacturer doesn't even allow it? It only takes one accident resulting from non-compliance with this rule to damage the worldwide reputation of the manufacturer of that aircraft, because everyone will think the aircraft is unsafe. Plus, videos like this inspire other pilots to break the rule because they see that it can be done. This is very damaging to the aviation community. I understand you want to promote your engine, but you can do that without breaking the rules.

@@Dzordzikk I think you need to do your homework. First of all, we are Shark dealers, and have been since 2014. This is our second Shark. Fuel range and fuel endurance are two separate things, endurance is time. Range is distance. If the pilot has a tail wind, then going to endurance power settings may be a practical choice to enhance fuel economy an/or range. Holding at an airport for weather is another. Theoretically, range power settings give the pilot more miles flown, don't forget wind effects and how much drag bug impacts, or a dirty wing, have on range? Please be conservative with "bingo fuel" calculations. Use of these two is up to the pilot and the purpose of the intended operation. As I understand it, operating an engine too lean, (piston powered aircraft) it is possible to cause damage to an engine. Accurate in flight fuel burn is a great tool. But, do not let the info lead you into making a poor decision. To the minute accuracy, UNLESS you know the exact amount of fuel you have, has the potential to lead a person astray. Having a sphincter tightening moment means, you made a poor decision. I knew a pilot once that ran critically low on fuel, his nick name was "fumes" after that. Good video thanks.
